He has managed the design, award and installation of fuel systems and infrastructure, optimizing fuel operations, implementing cutting-edge technology, and driving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability. His involvement has helped in advancing Wally’s Travel Centers’ mission to provide outstanding services and facilities for travelers.
Hale is responsible for enhancing facility efficiency, safety, and production at Wally's Travel Centers through regular team communication and coordination. He conducts site visits for potential developments, assists with due diligence, and prepares facility services and construction specifications, including drafting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and developing scopes of work. Hale negotiates and manages contracts with architects, engineers, and contractors, ensuring compliance with construction plans and regulations. He supervises design and permit processes, monitors project costs to stay within budget, and supports financial reporting and grant management. Additionally, he collaborates with store and corporate teams for operational improvements, manages service contracts, conducts facility inspections, and recommends modifications for maintenance and design.
Before joining Wally’s, Hale was the Vice President of Construction at Vault Construction Company and an Estimator/Senior Project Manager at Otto Baum Company Inc., where he was responsible for preparing and submitting bid documents, negotiating pricing, and managing project costs. His role involved overseeing the issuance of Purchase Orders and Subcontracts, monitoring project expenditures, and ensuring accurate project closeout documentation. Hale’s extensive background in both construction management and the petroleum sector underscore his ability to drive complex projects to successful completion while enhancing operational efficiency.
