Amy Toner serves as Executive Director of the NATSO Foundation and Chief of Staff of NATSO. In her role as Executive Director of the NATSO Foundation, she spearheads the Foundation’s education, research, and fundraising activities. She selects speakers for numerous NATSO Foundation events, serves as editor of NATSO Foundation research, and hosts the NATSO Foundation’s Podcast, The Truck Stops Here.
As Chief of Staff for NATSO, she ensures the association runs smoothly, partnering closely with the CEO to align financial forecasts and budgets with the association’s operational capabilities, smoothing organizational bottlenecks, and translating the CEO’s vision into action. She has expertise in fundraising, financial stewardship, and member relations, with a track record of cultivating strong relationships with donors, board members, and community partners.
Prior to serving as the Executive Director, she held numerous roles at NATSO, including Vice President, Publishing and Digital Content; Senior Director, Marketing and Design; and Director of Membership. She cut her teeth in the association world as the Director of Membership at the Ambulatory Surgery Association.
Before joining the Ambulatory Surgery Association, Toner graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Fine and Studio Art. She lives in Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., with her husband and son.
