Tye Smith is the Director of Human Resources for OXXO USA, where he oversees all HR functions and leads teams responsible for talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning, HR business partnership, organizational strategy, payroll, learning and development, culture, etc. With more than 15 years of experience in human resources, he has built a diverse career focused on developing people, strengthening organizations, and aligning talent strategies with business objectives.
Throughout his career, Tye has held HR leadership roles across the retail, manufacturing, and customer service industries, giving him a broad perspective on workforce challenges and opportunities in dynamic, fast-paced environments. His expertise spans recruiting, workforce planning, leadership development, succession planning, employee relations, and strategic HR initiatives that drive organizational growth and performance.
A passionate advocate for continuous learning and professional development, Tye earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business from University of Illinois Springfield and recently completed his MBA at Louisiana State University Shreveport.
Originally from Peoria, IL, Tye has called Dallas home for the past five years. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and can often be found watching sports, fishing, camping, or pursuing new opportunities to learn and grow both personally and professionally.
